Icarly Reboot Season 3: Possible Release Date, Renewed or Cancelled? Check Here!

Reboots can be perceived as an unnecessary exhumation of a perfectly good show, a resurrection that brings back a half-alive zombie of what a show used to be. The iCarly relaunch, on the other hand, is nothing like that.

I don’t know about you, but I was pleasantly impressed by how the new show managed to preserve the same sense of comedy and continuity despite the absence of one of the show’s most important characters, Sam (Jennette McCurdy). The latest additions to the main ensemble, Harper (Laci Mosley) and Millicent, have more than filled the Sam-shaped void (Jaidyn Triplett). Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) has publicly discussed her sexuality, as well as the issues that come with adulting in the age of the internet and learning to swear. Yeah, sure.

Season 2 of the relaunch is already proving to be a fantastic continuation of the first, especially given season 1 ended on a cliffhanger. Even though the second installment’s episodes haven’t all been released yet, I already know I’ll be wanting more.

Here’s all we know about the iCarly reboot’s third season thus far.

What is the release date for season three?

There are no specific dates for the third season because it hasn’t been confirmed. However, if the reboot’s current timeline is followed, season 3 will debut on February 23, 2023, at the earliest.

Is a second season of the iCarly relaunch on the way?

Unfortunately, we still don’t know. The series’ probable renewal has yet to be officially announced by Paramount+. It’s too early to say, but it’s possible we’ll find out by the end of season 2. The network had such faith in the show that it had already greenlit season 2 before all of the first season’s episodes had aired.

If there is a third season, who will join the cast?

Miranda will likely reprise her eponymous role as Carly unless the revival becomes a spin-off. The main cast, including Freddie (Nathan Kress), Spencer (Jerry Trainor), Harper, and Millicent, is also likely to return.

Miranda’s Drake & Josh co-star and television big brother Josh Peck made a cameo appearance in Season 2. RuPaul’s Drag Race queens were also in attendance. So, perhaps, we’ll see more exciting cameos in the future? Gibby (Noah Munck) is a possibility. Sam??? All we have is our imagination.

What would it be about, and what would it be called?

iCarly is one of those sitcoms that doesn’t have to be viewed in chronological sequences, like a lot of others. Every episode is a brand-new journey with its own narrative. You don’t need to know everything that’s transpired so far in the series, however having some prior information is helpful.

What happens in the second season of the iCarly reboot?

If you’ve been watching the reboot of “iCarly,” you’re aware that the season’s 13th and final episode ends on a cliffhanger. Right before Carly and her pals were rescued from their campsite, two men (none of them Freddie, sorry, Creddie shippers) professed their love for her. Carly must choose between her new beau Wes (Josh Plasse) and her previous boyfriend Beau (Conor Husting), who broke up with her in the pilot, in the second season.

In addition to wrapping off the plot “in a very ‘iCarly’ style,” Schouten told EW, she wants to tackle a serious problem in an early episode: what it means to be a woman online. “Carly was one of the first of her kind, one of the earliest content makers,” Schouten explained. “And women, in particular, confront a set of obstacles that Carly would experience, and that we should and will examine.”

Beyond that, viewers may have to wait until Season 2 to see what Carly and her companions have in store.
