The How I Met Your Mother revival, How I Met Your Father, is finally here, after numerous rumors and years of waiting! The series follows Sophie, played by Hilary Duff, as she tells her kid about how she met his father in the 2020s in New York City and is set in the same universe as the much-loved original sitcom. And, certainly, as a single woman seeking to find love in the most beautiful city on the planet, I can attest to the show’s accuracy. But, of course, the most pressing question is: who will Sophie marry? We’re crossing our fingers for further episodes to find out.

Season 2 of How I Met Your Father: What Will Happen?
The second season of How I Met Your Father will undoubtedly take up where Season 1 left off, with a highly emotional conclusion.
Sophie realized she wanted to give Jesse (Chris Lowell) another chance after a period of self-sabotage. However, by the time she was able to contact him, he had rekindled his romance with ex-girlfriend Meredith, thanks to some advice from How I Met Your Mother alum Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders) (Leighton Meester).
Sid (Suraj Sharma) and Hannah (Ashley Reyes) married in a spur-of-the-moment wedding, while Charlie (Tom Ainsley) and Val (Francia Raisa) broke their romance after Charlie revealed he did not want to have children.
Season 2 of HIMYF will continue the storyline from Season 1 while also introducing a new romance.
Co-showrunner Aptaker revealed in an interview with Variety: “There’s still a lot on the table. As a result, we will undoubtedly return to the recent past. People will have to wait and watch what happens the remainder of that night, whether we do it linearly or move around a little bit before we get there.”

What Happened at The End of Season 1 of How I Met Your Father?
Sophie (Hilary Duff) and Jesse (Chris Lowell) appeared to be destined for each other at the end of Season 1. After they had intercourse, things began to go wrong. Jesse declared his love to Sophie while he was fast asleep, and Sophie was shocked. After that, Jesse revealed that he had given up the chance to go on tour with his ex-girlfriend Meredith (Leighton Meester) in order to spend more time with Sophie. As a result, the two got into a furious argument. She might be a hopeless romantic, but that was too much for our little one. Jesse was reunited with his former flame after Sophie proposed that he accompany Meredith on tour.
That was horrible, but how about this? Sophie’s artwork is on display in her room. According to an older Sophie, the Captain of How I Met Your Mother (Kyle MacLachlan) had a tumultuous divorce (Kim Cattrall). His ex-wife took possession of all of his boats as a result. One of the casualties was a coral reef research vessel off the Australian coast. Ian (Daniel Augustin), a marine biologist, has resumed his dating life. Ian and Sophie meet during Sophie’s art display in the final minutes of Season 1, and the two begin to bond.
