Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer Claire Elise Boucher (/bue/; born March 17, 1988) performs under the stage name Grimes.
A variety of electronic, hip hop and rock influences can be heard in her earlier work, which has been described as “lo-fi R&B” to “futuristic dance-pop”. It’s not uncommon for her songs to feature feminist and science-fictional undertones. She’s got five albums out there that you may listen to in their entirety.
Early Life & Career
Grimes, who was born in Vancouver and later relocated to Montreal, released her first two albums, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa, on the independent label Arbutus Records in 2010. After that, in 2012, she released her third studio album, Visions, which led to her signing with 4AD and rapid ascent to fame.
The album Visions, which features the hits “Genesis” and “Oblivion,” was recognized as the best electronic album of the year by the Canadian Recording Industry Association or Junos. After that, in 2015, she released her fourth studio album, titled Art Angels, which was hailed by critics and was awarded the greatest album of the year by multiple magazines. In 2020, she dropped Miss Anthropocene, her fifth studio album.

The “Oblivion” singer announced on Twitter on August 15 that she wanted ear and teeth augmentation surgery.
In my mid-30s, I thought I might want to make some changes, so I scheduled a consultation with a fantastic plastic surgeon two years ago. Since then, I’ve forgotten about it and haven’t given any attention to what I should have done. Have any suggestions for face modifications that you think would suit me? You can’t get elf ears since that’s a totally different quest, she said.

Whether or not they know any “trusted persons” who could provide her with vampire tooth caps. And, as “cartilage doesn’t heal thus it requires permanent stitches,” Grimes said she was still on the fence about whether or not to receive ear modifications.
After some thought, she added, “Also, has anyone done elf ear mods with a nice outcome?” Ear cartilage is a concern of mine because of the possibility of a slow recovery. As a musician, this surgery seems especially dangerous, yet I’ve always wanted it. Interested in hearing other people’s stories!”
Her admirers are left to wonder about her new treatment, but she has already given specifics about her upcoming album.

Latest Albums
Shinigami Eyes by Grimes was published on January 26, 2022. On February 3, 2022, Grimes announced her upcoming EP would be named Fairies Cum First. In April of 2022, Russian band IC3PEAK released their album Kiss of Death, which included a track titled “Last Day,” which featured Grimes as a guest artist.
In the music video for “Dolls” by Bella Poarch, which premiered on July 15, 2022, Grimes made an appearance.
On a few stops of Swedish House Mafia’s “Paradise Again Tour,” Grimes will serve as the support act, joining the likes of Kaytranada, ZHU, and Alesso. The dates for this tour are July 29th, 2022, through November 13th, 2022.
The Dolls EP by Bella Poarch featured Grimes on the track “No Man’s Land,” which was released on August 12, 2022.
Grimes was featured on the cover of Vogue Plus China in August 2022, where she also gave an interview and talked more about her future project with the Weeknd. The name of the song is “Sci-Fi,” and its release is scheduled for the middle of 2022, she said.
She elaborated on her next studio album and EP, saying that “all these projects [will] come together and meld into one thing at the end.”
