Ricky Ross of “Freeway” filed a copyright infringement case in federal court in California in June 2010 against Ross for exploiting his name. On December 30, 2013, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of rapper Rick Ross, allowing him to keep his stage name due to a First Amendment finding.
