Christopher Julius Rock, an American stand-up comedian, actor, and filmmaker was born on February 7, 1965.
Rockrose to notoriety as a cast member of Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1993, after working as a stand-up comedian and appearing in minor film parts such as Beverly Hills Cop II. Rock also wrote and produced the films New Jack City, Boomerang, and CB4 while on SNL. Bring the Pain, the second of Rock’s five HBO comedy specials catapulted him into mainstream prominence in 1996.
