Arsonist on the Loose as Burned Cars Continues
Los Angeles Fire Department accounted 20 car fires between February and May. Resident of Sunland-Tujunga, Los Angeles fears that an arsonist may be on the loose as car fires continues, one woman also lost two cars within weeks. LAFD arson investigator said they coordinated to LAPD’s major crime division. Just recently Two cars are burned down in Plainview Avenue and residents said it was set on fire intentionally.
One incident was the fire in the car also swallowed a nearby tree. Residents fear that maybe next time it will spread to houses. Foothill Division has a record of peak number of arsons at 25 in 2021 and the numbers keeps going up. Investigators talked to the resident in an assembly-like for further information in the investigation, as residents hope that it will end soon.
