Triple Payday: A Special Week for Social Security Recipients!
Last week brought some great news for folks receiving Social Security benefits. It was a special week because three different types of payments were coming together. These payments are for people who get SSDI SSI or retirement benefits from Social Security.
Now what are these three types of payments? Well SSDI is for people who cannot work because of a disability. SSI helps people with low income and resources. And retirement benefits are for people who have worked enough years and are now retired. Each of these programs has its own rules and reasons for giving out money.

February Social Security Mailing Schedule: Know When to Expect Your Benefits!
The money you get is for the month before. So if you’re getting money for July you will get it in August. The day you get paid depends on your birthday. For example if you are getting money because you are retired they will use your birthday to decide when you get paid. If you are getting money because of your spouses work they will use their birthday.
Here are the dates when Social Security benefits for February 2024 will be paid:
– February 2: If you started getting Social Security before May 1997 or if you get both Social Security and SSI.

– February 21: If your birthday is between the 11th and 20th of the month.
