The Property Tax Relief Bill of the State of Colorado is allegedly misleading and unconstitutional

A conventional political group is filing a lawsuit against the State of Colorado after a property tax relief bill passed. Advance Colorado claims the language of the property tax relief bill is misleading, and some contents violate the constitution.

The lawmakers and the Governor of Colorado’s proposal will slightly lower the property tax increase, but it would start with giving up more of your property tax refund. The Taxpayer bill of rights will go away.

In Colorado, the property tax appraisal is on top of the minds of the homeowner taxpayers. A total of 7,000 taxpayers filed an appeal in El Paso County.

The property tax bill was introduced on the final days of 2023 Legislation

The property tax bill had passed through the Colorado House and Senate.

The political group is suing the state over the property tax bill, claiming that adding the account will only use the money and compensate for a decrease in property tax.

The political group claims the new property tax bill violates the constitution that deals with TABOR refunds and with property tax.
