It was made by the  government and can give up to $1,000 for each child who qualifies. To get this money families must make less than $30,000 a year and have a child under six years old. Almost everyone in the government agreed to make this new credit. It’s meant to help families who don’t have much money take care of their children.

The Oregon Kids Credit is especially helpful for families in the countryside where its harder to get money. But to get this money  families need to send in a tax form by April 15. Families who can get the Oregon Kids Credit might also be able to get other kinds of money like the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Working Family Household and Dependent Care credit.
