Eligibility and Application Details for the Property Tax Rent Rebate Program

According to The Bradford Era, Rep. Martin Causer is holding Property Tax Rent Rebate Clinics to help seniors in his district with their 2022 property taxes/rent rebates. The clinics are free and do not need an appointment. Seniors can go to the clinics at different senior centers. There will be more clinics in Mount Jewett, Emporium, Austin and Bradford.

Eligibility and Benefits for the Property Tax Rent Rebate Program

The Property Tax Rent Rebate program helps seniors who are 65 older and widowers and people with disabilities. Homeowners can earn up to $35,000 per year and renters can earn up to $15,000 per year to qualify. Social Security income counts as half. The usual rebate is $650 but homeowners could get up to $975. The Revenue Department will figure out the extra rebate if you qualify. You can apply for a rebate until June 30 and you’ll get your rebate starting on July 1.
