New Jersey Sales Tax Holiday Will Provide Tax-Free Back-To-School Items from August until September

A New Jersey sales tax holiday will provide tax-free back-to-school items qualified for the New Jersey sales tax holiday starting on August 26 until September 4, wherein there will be no restrictions for the New Jersey sales tax holiday in providing temporary tax exemption to all buyers, including how much they can buy.

Under the New Jersey sales tax holiday, buyers will afford various back-to-school items for their children, including school supplies and other electronic devices; however, if the items, such as computers are more than $3,000, the tax exemption for the New Jersey sales tax holiday will not be applied.

If buyers aim to exchange the qualified item in different color or size under the New Jersey sales tax holiday after the temporary tax exemption ends, the item will still be exempted from the New Jersey sales tax holiday as long as it is still the same item, App reported.

Here’s the List of Qualified Back-To-School Items For New Jersey Sales Tax Holiday

With the New Jersey sales tax holiday coming to buyers, some back-to-school items can be purchased tax-free, including drawing pads, watercolors, textbooks, pens, pencils, papers, crayons, and notebooks, Yahoo News reported.

Aside from the back-to-school items, buyers can expect tax-free electronic devices, such as printers, writing tablets, electronic schedulers, and even computers, except for cellular phones during the New Jersey sales tax holiday.
