Ninth District Opportunity, Inc. Launches Home Cooling Assistance Program for Vulnerable Residents
Program to Assist Elderly and Medically Homebound with Home Cooling Costs Begins April 1
Starting April 1, Ninth District Opportunity, Inc. will kick off its initiative to provide Home Cooling Help for the Elderly and Medically Homebound across White and other Ninth District counties. This opportunity applications comes in the form of one time payments made directly to home energy suppliers via checks. To qualify for this program individuals must meet income criteria, which consider the earnings of all household members.
To apply for this aid, eligible candidates are urged to reach out to Ninth District Opportunity, Inc. through their scheduling system starting at 8:30 A.M. on April 1. They can either call 855-636-3108 or access the online scheduling platform at https://ndo.appointment.works/ea. It’s important to note that the phone lines and website for scheduling will only become active on the program’s opening date, and no appointments will be arranged before then neither over the phone nor online.

Appointments for Home Cooling Aid Available Until Funds Depleted
Walk in applications will not be entertained and appointments will continue to be scheduled until the allocated funds are fully utilized. This effort aims to alleviate the burden of energy costs for vulnerable groups in the community, ensuring that those most in need receive necessary support during warmer months.
