Tax season is here, and as individuals gear up to file their ITR 2024, the Internal Revenue Service anticipates a massive influx of over 128 million individual tax returns by the April 15 deadline. Amidst the annual hustle, Central Florida organizations are stepping up to alleviate some of the stress associated with tax preparation.
Goodwill Industries and Heart of Florida United Way Partnership
In a collaborative effort, Goodwill Industries has joined forces with Heart of Florida United Way to introduce free tax preparation services through Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA). Beginning February 2, appointments for VITA assistance will be available at select locations across Central Florida, aiming to provide accessible support for individuals navigating the complexities of ITR 2024.
VITA provides free tax preparation for low-income individuals earning $73,000 or less, making financial support available to many community members. Goodwill Connects manager Damaris Moraza assures taxpayers seeking dependable ITR 2024 support of the program’s honesty and openness.
VITA targets vulnerable groups like elders and those exposed to unscrupulous tax schemes. VITA provides a safe and supportive tax preparation environment to help people file taxes without fear of abuse during ITR 2024.
