The famous Big River Grille & Brewing Works is unexpectedly leaving Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. As part of the resort’s renovations, its favorite restaurant will close on January 21, 2024. A fleet of food trucks will begin serving a delicious lunch menu on January 22 to compensate for this closure.

Disney-independent Big River Grille & Brewing Works offered a great indoor and outdoor dining experience. Customers loved the restaurant after it reopened in February 2021 following the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this non-Disney-owned restaurant will close.
Disney promises food trucks will replace the Big River Grille, but the location is still being determined. This clever concept lets fans enjoy delicious meals during BoardWalk Resort renovations.
After closing numerous venues, including the ESPN Club, Disney’s BoardWalk Resort has significantly changed. The lone operational brewpub at Walt Disney World, Big River Grille & Brewing Works, served burgers and barbecued ribs.

The restaurant’s vast assortment of homemade, award-winning beers and lagers brewed by a professional brewmaster was part of its attractiveness. Big River I.P.A. and the limited-edition Sweet Magnolia American Brown Ale were consumed along with wines, margaritas, and specialty drinks.
The shutdown of Big River Grille & Brewing Works signifies a gastronomic shift as the BoardWalk Resort revitalizes. On the bright side, food trucks offer various lunch options for those mourning the loss.
Later this year, Disney’s BoardWalk will welcome Blue Ribbon Corndogs and The Cake Bake Shop. After the improvements, the BoardWalk promises new gastronomic delights and retains its unique appeal that lures people year after year.
