Due Thursday, Feb. 1, the payment is unusual because January still needs to be disbursed. Due to a Social Security Administration calendar glitch, claimants got duplicate payments in December. Jan. 1 is a holiday. Thus, two payments were sent the month before.
Filers can receive up to $943 monthly, while couples can receive up to $1,415. Essential personnel who care for SSI clients will receive $472. Financial relief for SSI recipients is provided by this 3.2% rise from 2023.
