A survey from Thriving Wallet, a project backed by Arianna Huffington’s Thrive Global and Discover, found that 90% of Americans say that talking about financial considerations have an impact on their stress levels.
Anxiety Over Financial Situation Talk: Americans Having Anxiety According To The Survey
Many of the Americans has this culture that talking about money is rude, bad and sad. The survey from Empower found that 62% don’t really wanna talk about money, 63% is uncomfortable talking about money with their family members and 75% of them also have anxiety and uncomfortable talking money with friends and 46% have fear and anxiety also talking about money with their spouse or husband.
They said that mostly of the Americans are comfortable talking about flammable topics instead, like politics (43%), (32%) morbidly crimes and death rather than talking about their financial situations.
According to CFP, founder of the Financial Psychology Institute, Brad Klontz, on his written blog by Northwestern Mutual, people declined talking about financial situations maybe because they feel not protected over their social statuses.

Anxiety Over Financial Situation Talk: Most Americans Have Fear Talking About Their Financial Status Survey Says
Money is the big issue in the society right now, some are desperate to get more money rather than having a good manners, people are trying to show off the financial statuses. People are more concern about their financial statuses that being ingrained with human characteristics. They also have fear of judgement with others about their financial status. But according to then survey, this study is slowly disappearing because of the modern world, (56%) of millennials and Gen Z 49% are willing to have talk about some financial issues. They said, it’s like an open book to share some experiences to others.
