It’s time to give the Covid federal relief, it’s already overdue said the Tulare-Kings and Fresno county non-profit, Proteus Inc, they are happy to give out millions of dollars to locals in need and to those who might have been affected and worked during the pandemic.

As of Wednesday, the non-profit organization has already served 2,624 applications at its location in Visalia. Now they are busy working to distribute over six million dollars in federal funding to farm workers who were affected by the Covid 19 pandemic. The non-profit’s farmworker program director, Daniel Ramirez said that he is very thankful that the fund for the past two years is now available for those agricultural workers regardless of their legal status.

He added, that the program is already late and the farm workers’ community needed it already. A lot of the farm workers were affected and he can’t wait to see the smile on their faces when they receive the pay.

Like Regina Cruz, one of the members of the farmer’s community, said that he even saw her very hardworking even though it is a pandemic and now she is very emotional to claim the $600 stimulus check. Farm workers are very happy with the benefits they will going receive and they are hoping that they will receive more. Director said they deserve more.
