Mayor of Miami-Dade County Daniella Lavine Cava announced on Monday that there will be a program to help homeowners behind on monthly mortgage payments a year after she embrace the county’s housing affordability crisis.

Monday, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava announced a program to help those homeowners who were struggling and behind on monthly mortgage payments a year.
Speaking of Overtown’s Culmer community-resource center, Mayor Daniella Lavine Cava expose a mortgage-benefits program that is partnered with the Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida. According to the program, homeowners who were qualified can get a one-time payment of $1,500 to be used to pay for late payments in their mortgage, homeowner-association dues, and some property insurance.
A total of $25 million of funds that were out in the Mortgage under the years 2022 and 2023, will come out to a total of o $85 million for the HOMES Plan. In order for you to qualify for this program, you must have proof of income that shows that you do not earn more than 140% of your median income, and also you should own a primary residence in Miami-Dade. The first priority is those applicants who are senior citizens, disabled or have a family member who was disabled, and homeowners who are 12 months late on their mortgage payment.

There will be an online application for those applicants who want to apply online, you can go to https://nhssf.org/mortgage-relief-program/ and if you want assistance as well you can have your application assisted at any county’s 12 community-resource centers. Lava said, that this is a big help to those homeowners that are struggling and now they have the chance to clear up their late payment dues.
