The first season, which consists of 8 episodes, depicts Wednesday Addams’ time spent as a student at evermore Academy. “Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore,” reads the official synopsis released by Netflix.

Cast of Wednesday

In May of 2021, Jenna Ortega was chosen to play the title role. She uploaded a selfie holding the pilot script to Instagram with the comment, “New chapter.” I pray I can do justice to Wednesday Addams. snap, snap

A first glance at Jenna’s transformation into the character was posted by Netflix a little over a year later, and she looks terrifyingly unrecognizable as Wednesday Addams. Jenna can be seen in fresh photographs posted by Netflix with her hair in long braids and her distinctive Wednesday white collar, long sleeve black dress, startlingly pale skin, and apathetically gaunt look.
