When Amazon picked up season one, the second season of The Legend of Vox Machina was already set in motion. Season one was made possible thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign, and Amazon decided to air the first ten episodes after ordering an additional 14 episodes (expanding season one to twelve episodes, with the same schedule for season two).
Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon Studios, said that Critical Role “blazed a trail for original digital content, with fresh new voices and humor that earned devoted fans around the world, as evidenced by their wildly successful Kickstarter campaign” (via Variety). As a Prime member, you’ll be able to watch The Legend of Vox Machina as well as the new Critical Role series.
After the Kickstarter campaign
Critical Role’s Sam Riegel and Travis Willingham said in a joint statement that they were “absolutely floored” by the amount of support they received, and now they can deliver exactly what the fans requested.
This is an incredible opportunity, and we can’t wait to tell even more stories with two 12-episode seasons, which will be available on Prime Video!” So, was Amazon right to take a chance on the second season of The Legend of Vox Machina? The information you need is here.
Release Timeline
It takes time to make an animated series, but Vox Machina was able to start work on season 2 after a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2019. Season 1 was delayed because of the pandemic, which pushed the premiere date from the end of 2020 to the beginning of 2022. As a result, new episodes will be available sooner than expected.
Season 2 could be released before the end of the year, bringing it back to its original schedule. Otherwise, it will take place in January 2023 at the earliest.

Why does Vox Machina have a second season?
One of the first D&D campaigns run by Critical Role has been turned into this series. With the shocking cliffhanger that ended season 1, season 2 has already been set up. A dragon fan would be a great fit for this.
When Vox Machina learned that King Uriel Tal’Dorei was relinquishing his throne to be replaced by the Tal’Dorei Council, she was shocked. Vox Machina’s teamwork, he said, was the driving force behind this decision.
Keyleth, King Uriel, and several others saw four approaching dragons as a result of Vex’ahlia’s constant ringing ear. The season came to a close with the appearance of four dragons, each more terrifying than the last. It will begin right after the cliffhanger in Season 2. There will be a lot of repercussions and violence from the start of the new season.
Who’s in the cast of the second season of Vox Machina?
They are not just actors on the show, but executive producers who have an equal stake in the success of the series because of the unique way the show was put together, which makes them all equal partners. Executive producers with a stake in the show’s success in addition to their roles as cast members include Laura Baillie and Taliesin Jaffe as well as Liam O’Brien and Ashley Johnson as well as Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, and Travis Willingham. We’d expect them all to come back.
