While the three of them work together to report on their progress and make their podcast, “Only Murders in the Building,” Charles starts a relationship with his neighbor, Jan, who plays the bassoon. As Charles and Jan’s relationship grows, Charles invites Jan into the inner workings of the three people’s makeshift investigation, against Oliver and Mabel’s wishes. In the end, Charles should have listened to his detective partners and kept Jan at a very far distance.
