A new comedy film called Me Time is coming to Netflix in August, and we’ve put together a comprehensive guide to the film below!
Featuring Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg, Me Time is a lighthearted comedy. The movie was written and directed by John Hamburg. You may recognize Hamburg’s work on Little Fockers, Why Him?, and I Love You, Man. The film was produced by Hartbeat Productions, which is owned by Kevin Hart, with Hart, Hamburg, and Bryan Smiley serving as the film’s executives.
Beginning in August 2021 and ending in October of that year, the project was completed. It’s now official: Netflix has set a release date. In the next paragraphs, we reveal the release date and much more!
Me Time’s release date
A new Netflix original series titled Me Time will air on the 26th of August. You’ll need a subscription to the streaming service if you want to view the film when it premieres.

The cast of “Me Time”
Kevin Hart is the film’s star, as previously indicated. This time around, Hart is playing a stay-at-home parent who is yearning for a night out, free of his adulting obligations, to recharge his batteries. With roles in Central Intelligence, Ben in Ride Along, Get Hard, and Jimmy in The Wedding Ringer under his belt, Hart is no stranger to the world of comedic roles in films of this kind.
Former best friend Mark Wahlberg co-stars with Hart as the “fun buddy” who assists Hart’s character is enjoying himself. Before playing Victor in Uncharted, he played Pete in Instant Family, and Evan in Infinite, and he was nominated for an Academy Award as Dignam in The Departed.
They will be joined by Regina Hall (Girls Trip), Luis Gerardo Méndez (Narcos: Mexico), Jimmy O. Yang (Silicon Valley), Carlo Rota (A Perfect Plan), Tahj Mowry (Titans), and more well-known actors in the film (Smart Guy, Baby Daddy).
The plot of Me Time
It’s been a long time since Sonny has had a moment to himself. Sonny’s wife unexpectedly takes the kids away from him and gives him a free weekend. In the absence of his wife and children, Sonny chooses to reconnect with an old acquaintance, and the two set out on an unforgettable journey.
Synopsis:
In an attempt to get some “Me Time” while his wife and kids are gone, a stay-at-home parent reconnects with his former best buddy for a crazy weekend that nearly upends his life.
