Bat Out Of Hell, the final album by American rocker Meat Loaf, was released in 1977 and became his biggest commercial success.
The 74-year-old actor and musician have starred in more than 65 films, some of which are cult classics like Fight Club, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Wayne’s World.
The singer’s death was announced on Facebook by his family, who said, “Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight.”
They continued, “We know how much he meant to so many of you, and we truly appreciate all the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man.”

Who Is Leslie Aday?
The singer and actor Meat Loaf’s first wife was named Leslie Aday. Leslie Edmonds, who is now 70 years old, was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and she married a famous musician.
They tied the knot in 1979, and they stayed together for 22 years before calling it quits in 2001.

Who or What Brought Them Together?
At the time he was recording Bat Out of Hell, Leslie was working as a secretary at the Bearsville Studios in Woodstock, New York.
During a 2017 interview, legendary album producer Todd Rundgren reflected on the time.
We were in Bearsville, and there was this girl named Leslie who worked as a secretary at Bearsville Records; Meat Loaf had a thing for her. She was attractive, and he couldn’t help but fall in love; he even recalled making his “first big move” on her.
When they were at the Bear Cafe, the producer said, “Meat Loaf gave Leslie a giant whole salmon.” It was almost like a proposal. Instead of a ring, he suggested a salmon.
Their wedding, which followed at Todd’s, was a riot.
They got married in front of a priest who was so old he couldn’t tell them apart. He then asked Leslie directly, “Do you, Marvin, take Leslie as your lawfully wedded wife?” Everything was communicated to him by the guy next to him whispering in his ear. Leslie already had a daughter named Pearl when they met, and she was pregnant with their second child. Pearl became Meat Loaf’s legal daughter shortly after their wedding, and her new last name is Aday. American actress Amanda, 47, portrays Dora Mae Dreifuss in the HBO series Carnivàle.

In 1981, the couple welcomed their second daughter, Amanda. New York-born Pearl, now 41, is an American vocalist who gained fame as a member of Meat Loaf’s touring band Neverland Express in the 1990s.
