From sources inside Disney, I learned some important details concerning Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi and the series’ future. Apparently, the show’s preliminary ratings were so promising that extending Kenobi’s story during the Empire’s “dark times” was looking very appealing. To Celebration, Ewan McGregor hinted at a second season. The show then proved to be a Disney+ powerhouse by breaking streaming platform records.
While a second season of the “limited series” may appear to be a foregone conclusion, there will be more storylines in the future for Kenobi. Kenobi 2 will be made, according to Disney insiders. I’m not sure if it’ll be sold as a sequel or anything else. However, Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi has undergone various adjustments in order to explore some of the story’s remaining possibilities.
Is there a Season 2 for Obi-Wan Kenobi?
Despite Lucasfilm’s repeated statements that the show is a “limited series,” a fresh report claims otherwise. According to this source, Lucasfilm has announced that the second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi will be produced. We don’t have any additional information on the plot or a release date. Furthermore, it is unclear when filming for the rumored second season will begin.
According to the allegation, Disney altered the finale of Obi-Wan Kenobi season 1 to make it more palatable. TV shows are prone to cuts and edits, and it’s not uncommon for them to occur just before the show’s premiere. However, the only purpose for the last episode’s changes is so that the show can be renewed for a second season.
In addition, Kathleen Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm, has hinted at an “open door” for Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2 With Ewan McGregor’s hints and rumors, as well as the show’s success, a second season appears extremely plausible.

Reva from Season 2 of Obi-Wan Kenobi
Regrettably, storyline information for the first season of the show was leaked just before its premiere. Darth Vader was supposed to kill Reva in Episode 6’s original conclusion. Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2 would be limited by the death of the Third Sister. According to the initial leak, Reva tells Darth Vader that she murdered Obi-Wan Kenobi. Obviously, this is a deception, as we know he lives to see the first Star Wars film, A New Hope.
Reva tells Vader a falsehood because she wants to keep a secret from him. Reva discovers that Vader’s son, Luke Skywalker, is alive and wishes to protect him from his father. Padme, Vader’s wife, perished before giving birth, Vader suspected. We’re not clear what prompted Reva to take on the role of protecting the future Skywalker, but it’s a fascinating story twist.
This sequence has been completely modified for Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2 according to the report. Reva appears to live and is not killed by Vader. It’s unclear whether the entire combat scene was removed or if Reva somehow managed to avoid Vader’s rage. Whatever the case may be, we already know that Reva will make it through the first season of the show. This leaves room in the second season for the character’s growth.
Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Plot Flaws
If this report is true, Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2 will have plenty of narrative opportunities. As Reva grows into a better person, we may watch her struggle with her past choices. The season might also go the other way, with Reva seeking vengeance on Vader. She might be able to take on the Empire.
There are, however, a few narrative lines that need to be resolved. The fact that Reva is not currently featured in any of the other Star Wars films or television episodes.

We already know that if she survives until the second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi, she will be doomed. Obi-Wan doesn’t mention her again in A New Hope, thus we know she’ll die before the Battle of Yavin. It wouldn’t be difficult, however, to change her franchise positioning. Perhaps she’ll appear in Ahsoka or another new Star Wars show.
We sincerely hope that this report is genuine, as the show has a lot to offer in terms of content. Between Kenobi and A New Hope, a nine-year period passes.
