Season 2 of Chucky, which has been eagerly awaited, could arrive as early as this fall. Brad Dourif reprises his role as the voice of the soul of Charles Lee Ray housed in a vintage doll, as he executes a series of unthinkable murders in a peaceful New Jersey town based on Don Mancini’s Child’s Play horror film franchise. Just one month after the show’s premiere, Syfy and USA Network announced a season 2 renewal.
According to Deadline, Chucky is expected to return for a second season in the fall of 2022 on Syfy and USA Network. However, it is expected that the joint network will follow the pre-Halloween schedule, as it is known to traditionally air horror programs and movies during the month of October to commemorate Halloween. For those who may not recall, the beloved prequel show debuted on that date in 2021 with the release of its first season.
The Chucky season 2 premiere date
The release date for Chucky season 2 has not been revealed by the source. We’re ready to wager, though, that it will arrive in early or late October 2022, just in time for Halloween.

Chucky Season 2 Plot
Chucky Season 1 ended on November 30th, 2021, and there were lots of storylines that might be explored in the second season of the television series. It turns out that Chucky, played by Brad Dourif, has been busy gathering a demon army while Andy and Kyle (Alex Vincent and Christine Elise) assume they’ve gotten rid of all the Chucky toys. Don Mancini, the show’s executive producer, said this in an interview with Bloody Disgusting: “As soon as a franchise enters its fourth decade, it begins to push forward into previously uncharted area. For some reason, the concept of having many Chucky dolls has always appealed to me.” As a result, Season 2 will no doubt bring us more of this bloodthirsty force.
There’s a lot of curiosity among “Chucky” fans as to whether Kyle, a beloved character who has been considered dead, would indeed rise from the grave. Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) has amputated all of Nica Pierce’s limbs “in case” Chucky ever regains control of her (Fiona Dourif).
Asking the performers about their hopes for their characters in Season 2 in a video interview with SyFy, Alex Vincent remarked that predicting may be pointless as “Even for individuals who know Don [Mancini] as well as we do, his vision is frequently not what we would expect it to be. And that’s what keeps us on our toes, as well as startled and amused.”
