René Echevarria and Travis Beacham created the American neo-noir[2] fantasy streaming television series Carnival Row, which is based on Beacham’s unproduced film spec script A Killing on Carnival Row. Cara Delevingne, Simon McBurney, Tamzin Merchant, David Gyasi, Andrew Gower, Karla Crome, Arty Froushan, Indira Varma, and Jared Harris star in the series. As a detective seeks to investigate crimes, legendary beings must survive as oppressed refugees in human civilization.
Carnival Row Season 2 is one of the most eagerly awaited Amazon Prime Video releases, but now that filming has wrapped on the steampunk fantasy TV series, fans are asking if the second season will be released in March 2022. Fans have been eager for the next season since the programme was renewed early in 2019, but production has been hampered by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Is Season 2 of Carnival Row still planned for 2022?
While fans will have to wait a little longer for Carnival Row Season 2, they can be confident that it will arrive in 2022. The series’ filming completed last fall, but post-production is expected to take many months due to the massive number of visual effects required.
Despite the fact that Amazon Prime Video has yet to announce an official release date for Carnival Row Season 2, it is reasonable to assume that it will be available by the end of the year. Carnival Row Season 2 will be released in 2022, according to Deadline. Amazon is expected to release a new video and new promos to promote the upcoming season.

Plot for Carnival Row
With steampunk scenery, the location is reminiscent of Victorian London. With a serial killer loose on Carnival Row and a government that turns a blind eye to the killings of its lower-class people, Rycroft Philostrate, a war-hardened detective, is the only person ready to put an end to a run of unsolved faefolk murders and keep the community’s delicate peace. When faerie refugee Vignette Stonemoss shows up in the Burgue, she forces Philo to confront a past he’d hoped to forget.
The witch and her surrogate monster are killed in the first season finale, and the fae are driven into a ghetto. Because he is half-fae, Philo has empathy for fae people. We discovered that he was in a loveless relationship with Vignette and had abandoned her in her collapsing world. Years later, the two crossed paths again. In season two, Philo embraces his heritage and joins Vignette and other fae in the ghetto. He suffers with being caught between two worlds, neither wholly human nor fully fae. He also handed in his investigator’s badge. As a result, he no longer wields the authority he previously did.
The world of Carnival Row will expand in season two, according to the showrunners. The political side of the show will take on a more significant role in the second season as a result of the political schism that divided the races. Especially as the newly appointed Chancellor is enraged by his father’s murder and a fresh opportunity. More species and variations of creatures will be included into the plot, including races within races. When it comes to “magic,” the programme does a fantastic job of avoiding the conventional cliches of other fantasy genres. Magic is used in the series and is considered as more mystical than plentiful.

WHO’S IN THE CAST OF CARNIVAL ROW SEASON 2?
In Carnival Row Season 2, who will return to the Burgue? Well, Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevigne will reprise their roles as Philo and Vignette Stonemoss, who are both oppressed by the lords of the Burgue.
Tamzin Merchant and David Gyasi will reprise their roles as star-crossed lovers Imogen Spurnrose and Agreus, respectively. Their relationship, however, will almost certainly come under threat as a result of the newly established apartheid. Andrew Gower will reprise his role as Imogen’s brother, Ezra, in the Spurnrose family.
According to Deadline, Jamie Harris’ Sergeant Dombey will be given more screen time this time around, since he has been promoted to series regular. He expresses his racist ideals frequently in the first season, so Season 2 will only embolden him.
Season 2 will almost certainly introduce a few new characters, but Amazon has yet to confirm who else will be joining the ensemble. Philo and Vignette will hopefully discover new allies to aid them in freeing the magical community from their captors.
