While Phase 4 of the MCU has largely been a positive experience for viewers, Marvel Studio’s most recent endeavors have left some wondering where it’s all headed. Fans have been wondering when the next Avengers team-up will take place following the success of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.
A Secret Wars movie has been in the works for some time, with the Russo Brothers saying they’d love to direct it. No official announcement from Marvel has been made as to whether or not that movie will be made.
In addition, the studio appears to be positioning Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors, as the next Thanos-level threat for the MCU, but there have been no definitive statements made on the matter by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige or any of the MCU brass.
Fans have finally been given the titles of two new Avengers films, and they include some familiar names, after a long wait of anticipation.
Release Date
It’s 2025, and the Avengers are back. A release date of May 2, 2025, was announced for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con. Six months later, Marvel Studios announced the release date for Avengers: Secret Wars, which will arrive on November 7th, 2025.

After announcing the Avengers: Plotting
When it comes to The Kang Dynasty or Avengers: Secret Wars, Feige unveiled a new name for the current MCU era: “The Age of Ultron.” The Multiverse Saga encompasses Phases Four through Six.
As a result of the success of Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios has decided to switch gears and confirm the obvious from the get-go this time around. There is also a possibility that the multiverse may not be around for much longer thanks to the yet-unannounced Phase Seven.

Two Avengers Movies in One Year
Not joking, of course. According to Marvel Studios, the Avengers will have two movies released in the same year. Fantastic Four, Kang Dynasty, and Secret Wars will all open in theatres within a year of each other. Those release dates may change at any time. However, while Marvel has released two Avengers-centric films in close succession, the studio has never done anything of this magnitude before.
You can see the direction the MCU is taking just by looking at these titles. An appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has been confirmed for Kang, and he is presumed to appear in Loki season 2 as well. The idea of focusing an Avengers film (or two) on the bad guy is logical in and of itself!
Finally, the culmination of this era of MCU storytelling can be found in Secret Wars. Comic book multiverses meet movie multiverses in this epic crossover. Secret Wars was a natural progression for Marvel Studios following The Infinity Saga. The only thing fans can do now is wait, as both films won’t be out for another three years.
