CBS announced in May that their courtroom drama All Rise would be canceled after only two seasons, despite being one of the most popular legal dramas in America. The third season of this courtroom drama was officially canceled by CBS in May 2021, after it began on September 23, 2019. Season 3 of ‘All Rise,’ however, has been taken up by OWN, reviving the show. The series’ third season is now eagerly anticipated by fans.

Michael M Robin, Anthony Hemingway, Bronwen Hughes, Stacy K Black, and Paul McCrane are among the directors of this great play. The creator of the series is Greg Spottiswood. The show’s first season aired on CBS and featured 21 episodes. On IMDB, the series has a 6.7/10 average rating, and on Rotten Tomatoes, the reviewers have given it a 56 percent approval rating. The entire plot revolves around the personal lives of numerous prosecutors, judges, and public defenders who work on the grounds of the Los Angeles courtroom.

Greg came under fire for the first time after numerous writers departed the show during the first season because of the show’s portrayal of race and gender. Before it was abruptly terminated, All Rise had been one of the network’s most popular legal dramas. OWN, on the other hand, has picked up the show for a third season.

When Does the Third Season of All Rise Premiere?

The release date for All Rise season 2 has yet to be determined by the producers, but it is certain that it will take place. OWN has officially confirmed the third season of the legal drama, which will feature 20 episodes.
HBO Max and Hulu will each have a portion of the series’ streaming rights. Both platforms will debut the show on December 1st. Season three will premiere on June 7, 2022, with episodes broadcast by WarnerMedia and Disney-backed streaming sites after the season is finished. Before the third season starts, OWN will broadcast seasons one and two of the show.

According to series star Simone Missick, who announced the news on the show’s Instagram account, Season 3 of All Rise will premiere on OWN in the spring. The actress also announced that the theme for the forthcoming season will be “fresh beginnings.”

Why Was Season 3 Canceled by CBS?

All Rise was terminated as a result of the show’s behind-the-scenes issues, which included the departure of creator and showrunner Greg Spottiswood in March owing to sexual misconduct allegations.

Is All Rise set to return for a third season, or has it already been canceled?

On September 29, OWN announced that the canceled CBS courtroom drama will be renewed for a third season with a 20-episode run.

For Season 3, OWN Resurrected ‘All Rise’

Three months later, CBS decided to cancel the show. The cable network’s negotiations with Warner Bros. TV’s All Rise studio have reached a conclusion. A few days later, OWN’s parent company, Discovery, revealed plans to merge with WarnerMedia, the parent company of AT&T-owned Warner Bros. TV. The discussions are complicated, according to persons familiar with the matter, and they have yet to come to a conclusion. OWN and WBTV declined to comment on the story.
Dee Harris-Lawrence, who took over as showrunner for season two, as well as fellow executive producers Len Goldstein and Michael Robin, would almost probably remain on the program. Harris-Lawrence is also the showrunner and executive producer of the critically acclaimed OWN/WBTV series David Makes Man.

What is the plot of All Rise season 2?

Courtroom 302, a novel by Steve Bogira, served as inspiration for the series. It chronicles the cases of judges, prosecutors, and public defenders in the Los Angeles courthouse as well as their personal lives.
Spottiswood, who is still the showrunner, remains tight-lipped regarding the future season’s storyline. As a result, we can hypothesize about some of the plotlines we might see in season 3.
The next season will return with additional new content about the mistakes of authorized advisors, judges, and others. The new real-life story will be depicted in a reeling sense.
