Career
Piqué was a standout student at La Masia before he transferred to Manchester United in 2004. After leaving in 2005, he came back to Barcelona in 2008 under Pep Guardiola and helped them win back-to-back trebles in 2008–09 and 2014–15.
He joins Marcel Desailly, Paulo Sousa, and Samuel Eto’o as the only three players to win the UEFA Champions League with two different teams in consecutive years.
On 11 February 2009, Piqué made his debut for the Spanish national team, and he has since appeared in 102 games. He was a crucial cog in Spain’s winning machines in the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2012 UEFA Euro. Following the 2018 FIFA World Cup, he made the decision to retire from international competition.

Pique New Girlfriend
Despite Shakira’s disapproval, Gerard Pique attended a friend’s wedding with his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, in the Costa Brava region of Catalonia. Pictures obtained by Hola! from Spain showed the Barcelona star and the PR student holding hands throughout the event.
The athlete looked sharp in a black suit and white shirt, while Marti looked lovely in a striped dress in a rainbow of colours and let her blonde hair loose. The couple’s first public outing together was a few days ago at the Summerfest Cerdanya event in Catalonia, where they were spotted kissing and holding hands.
Just two months after Pique and Shakira’s split announcement ended their 12-year relationship, rumours of their dating spread.
Socialite reported that after seeing Pique’s video of him getting intimate with Marti online, the singer was “extremely unhappy at witnessing the father of her children with his girlfriend in public.”
It appears that Pique has broken the deal the two had made not to appear in public with their new companions for the first year after their breakup.

Marca paparazzi, Jordi Martin had previously said that Pique is deeply in love with Marti, an employee of Kosmos, Pique’s production firm.
He has no plans to end things with her, Martin said. There’s no truth to the split rumours; they’re madly in love. This is why Shakira is having a rough patch right now.
After the breakup, Shakira “is emotionally crushed,” Martin said, adding, “I can tell that [Shakira] is in a poor place.” Even psychiatric help has been required of her. Pique and the Waka Waka singer are also battling over child custody, but they have reached a temporary agreement.
The football player would prefer for Sasha and Milan to remain in Barcelona with him, but Shakira has plans to take them to Miami.
