Professional stock car racer William Darrell “Bubba” Wallace Jr. (born October 8, 1993) hails from the United States. He races in the NASCAR Cup Series regularly for 23XI Racing in the No. 45 Toyota Camry, and in the NASCAR Xfinity Series occasionally for Joe Gibbs Racing in the No. 18 Toyota Supra.
In the past, Wallace participated in Toyota’s driver development programme, during which he raced for Joe Gibbs Racing as a part-timer in the Xfinity Series and for Kyle Busch Motorsports as a full-timer in the Camping World Truck Series.
In the Xfinity Series, he drove for Roush Fenway Racing as a full-timer before switching to Ford and their driver development programme. Wallace got his first full-time ride in the Cup Series when he replaced Aric Almirola in a few races for Richard Petty Motorsports in the team’s legendary No. 43 due to an injury.

This has been an outstanding year for Bubba Wallace, both on and off the track.
In Year 2 with the Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin-owned 23XI Racing squad, the driver has proven himself as a formidable competitor. He has had a mixed year so far, but he’s hopeful this Sunday will be his breakthrough.
Outside of competition, things have been fantastic. Back in 2016, Bubba Wallace popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, Amanda Carter. He admitted to feeling a great deal of anxiety in anticipation of it.

2022 Racing
A new teammate, Kurt Busch, joined Wallace at 23XI Racing. In 2022, he competed in the Daytona 500 with a McDonald’s-sponsored paint job and came in second, 0.03 seconds behind the winner, Austin Cindric. At Atlanta, Wallace was in the hunt until the final lap, when he was involved in a collision that dropped him to 13th place.
Due to a tyre and wheel loss at the 2022 Texas Grand Prix at COTA on March 29, 2022, crew chief Bootie Barker was suspended for four events.
In the upcoming races at Richmond, Martinsville, Bristol, and Talladega, it was revealed that Dave Rogers would be Wallace’s crew chief. Wallace took the pole position for the first time in his career in Michigan and finished second, behind Kevin Harvick.
Wallace, who needed to win the season-ending race at Daytona to make the playoffs, did not.
On August 31, 2022, however, it was reported that Bubba and his crew chief Barker would be moving to the No. 45 car of 23XI for the rest of the season in an effort to win the owner’s championship. After leading the final 67 laps at Kansas on September 11, Wallace held off Hamlin to win for the second time that season.
