Who Is Thomas Patrick Lennon?
Thomas Patrick Lennon is a multitalented American entertainer who was born on August 9, 1970. He has worked as an actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer, director, and novelist. On Reno 911, he portrays Lt. Jim Dangle.
Together with his frequent writing collaborator Robert Ben Garant, Lennon has penned several blockbuster studio comedies. They are the authors of the Night at the Museum series, as well as The Pacifier, Balls of Fury, and Baywatch.
Lennon’s birth date is August 9, 1970, and his place of birth is listed as Oak Park, Illinois. He was born to Kathleen (McSheehy) and Timothy Lennon, thus he carries both Irish and Scottish ancestry. In 1988, he completed high school at Oak Park and River Forest.
He met his future co-star Kerri Kenney, whom he’d become friends with during Theatre Camp at Northwestern University when he was 16 years old. Once they enrolled at NYU, the two became members of a comedy group there known as “The New Group.”
Career
Between the years 2013 and 2017, Lennon worked as a producer on @midnight, a late-night panel game show hosted by Chris Hardwick, and made 17 appearances on the show as a panelist/contestant. Seven times he came out on top.
For the 2015–2017 TV revival of The Odd Couple, Lennon starred as Felix Unger alongside Matthew Perry’s Oscar Madison. In 2016, he appeared as a scientist in the animated feature Monster Trucks from Paramount and began a recurring part on the Fox action comedy Lethal Weapon as Leo Getz, a position formerly played on film by Joe Pesci.
He took part in a skit at the 2016 People’s Choice Awards that lampooned Steve Harvey‘s slip-up at the Miss Universe 2015 contest.
He replaced Peter Gadiot in the role of Mr. Mxyzpltk on Supergirl in 2020 and 2021, making recurring appearances in both seasons.
Season 7 of Reno 911! premiered in 2020 on Quibi, and Lennon returned to the character of Lieutenant Jim Dangle. The film Reno 911! The Hunt for QAnon, in which he had a small role, was released in 2021. Reno 911! Defunded, the eighth season of the show, premiered on The Roku Channel in February 2022.
Personal Life
Lennon and his family, including wife Jenny Robertson and son Oliver, have revealed that they currently reside in Los Angeles (born in 2009). He’s faithfully stayed with his wife throughout his life, never having an adulterous fling or a girlfriend, and they’ve been getting along swimmingly.
The pair appears to be doing well in maintaining their relationship, as there has been no talk of divorce or even the possibility of it. He is a huge Morrissey and Smiths fan and has even appeared as a guest guitarist for the tribute band Sweet and Tender Hooligans.
