Hilty’s sister Lauren, brother-in-law Ross, and niece Remy were among the ten persons killed on Sunday when their float plane went down in Washington’s Puget Sound.
The names of the passengers were released in a press statement by the United States Coast Guard on Tuesday; however, only one body has been found and the fates of the other nine are now unknown.
Mickel, the founder and former proprietor of Ross Andrew Wineries, was a renowned winemaker. His relatives spoke to the NBC affiliate KING 5 to express their sorrow over their awful loss and to confirm that Lauren was really pregnant at the time of the accident.
Ross Mickel, Lauren Hilty, Remy, and their unborn baby boy, Luca, were tragically killed, and their loved ones are heartbroken. “Our shared sorrow is indescribable. Every person who ever met them saw a ray of hope and light in them. We shall continue their work even if their time with us was cut short.”

Who Is Megan Kathleen Hilty?
Actress and musician Megan Kathleen Hilty were born in the United States on March 29, 1981. She became well-known for her work in Broadway musicals, including as the Good Witch Glinda in Wicked, Doralee Rhodes in 9 to 5: The Musical, and Brooke Ashton in Noises Off, for which she received a Tony Award nomination.
In addition to her roles as Liz on Sean Saves the World and Ivy Lynn in the musical drama Smash, for which she was nominated for a Grammy for her performance of “Let Me Be Your Star,” she also acted in the film The Help.
Bellevue, Washington is the place of Megan Kathleen Hilty‘s birth to parents Donna and Jack Hilty. Intending to pursue a career in opera, she started taking voice lessons at the tender age of 12. She started out at Sammamish High in Bellevue, transferred to Washington Academy of Performing Arts Conservatory High School in Redmond, and then finished her education at Chrysalis School in Woodinville.

Career
Before landing the main role in the spring of 2005, she made her Broadway debut in this role. When Hilty first appeared on TV, it was in an episode of “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” from 2007.
When “Shrek the Third” was being made that same year, she provided the singing voice for Snow White. Hilty has been on television in a number of shows, including “The Closer,” “Ugly Betty,” “Shark,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Eli Stone,” “Glenn Martin, DDS,” “Bones,” “Louie,” “Melissa & Joey,” and even “The Penguins of Madagascar.”
Hilty has been a mainstay on “Smash” since her breakout performance as Ivy Lynn in 2012. She has also been a regular cast member on “Sean Saves the World” as Liz, in addition to portraying the show’s protagonist, JD. In 2009, Hilty played Doralee Rhodes in a Broadway revival of “9 to 5: The Musical” at the Marquis Theatre.
Multiple awards, including the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical, were considered for her portrayal of the character. In 2013, Hilty wed Brian Gallagher, whom she had previously dated. In the fall of 2014, they want to welcome their first child as a married couple.
