Cooper Rush, the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, finished the day with an undefeated record of 3-0 in his professional career. So, the 2022-23 season started out badly for the New York Giants, as they suffered their first defeat.
Only the Eagles and Dolphins are still perfect in the league after the Giants’ loss. The NFL’s social media crew caught on quickly, and they humorously ridiculed all 30 clubs that have at least one score in the L-column through three weeks.
The Eagles earned their first 3-0 start since 2016. It wasn’t until 2018 that the Miami Dolphins started the season 3-0. Both teams started the year 3-0, but neither made it to.500 the rest of the year. The ultimate records of the 2016 Philadelphia Eagles and the 2018 Miami Dolphins were both 7-9.
Cooper Rush, who also played in the NFL for teams like the Eagles and the Dolphins, has the same record as a starting quarterback.
Flowers weren’t all the social media team offered to Rush, though.
Who is Cooper Robert Rush?
Cooper Robert Rush, who was born on November 21st, 1993, plays quarterback for the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys (NFL). He attended Central Michigan for collegiate football and in 2017 the Cowboys signed him as an undrafted free agent.
Rush, a native of nearby Charlotte, attended the small (just over 500 students) Lansing Catholic High School in Lansing, Michigan, where he started as quarterback for the football team for three years. Besides baseball and basketball, he also practiced those (until his freshman year).
He guided his squad to consecutive perfect regular seasons in 2010 and 2011. In 2011, under his direction, his squad finished as runners-up in the state. He shattered the Michigan state record for most touchdown passes in a game with five in the first quarter and eight in the whole contest, which was the Division 5 regional championship game against Dowagiac Union High School.
Even though he had 300 passing yards and 3 touchdowns, the squad still lost to Powers Catholic High School, 26-56, in the championship game.
After his senior year, he was named All-State, Michigan Division 5/6 Player of the Year by the Associated Press, and Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year by ESPN.
The 2015 season, as a junior, was his greatest ever; through 13 games, he threw for 3,703 yards, setting a new school record for a season. He had a completion percentage of 66.3%, a passing yardage total of 3,848 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

Career
His stats took a nosedive as a senior, falling to 3,540 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions with a 59.8 completion percentage.
There was controversy surrounding the game’s outcome between Central Michigan and Oklahoma State University because of a bad call made by the officials. To close the game, Oklahoma State threw the ball away, earning a penalty for intentional grounding.
According to college football regulations, the game would have finished and Oklahoma State would have been declared the winner. With no time left on the clock, Central Michigan’s Corey Willis caught a lateral from wideout Jesse Kroll at the Central Michigan 12-yard line and ran it in for a touchdown as time expired to seal a 30-27 victory. The season ended with a 55-10 loss to Tulsa in the 2016 Miami Beach Bowl.
After 49 consecutive starts, he concluded his college career with 12,894 passing yards, just 12 yards short of the school and conference record set by Dan LeFevour, and 90 passing touchdowns.
