The band stopped working with him, therefore the song was never recorded. While still under contract with Mercury Records in 1994, Roman rebranded the band as Female from its previous moniker, Reality. It was proposed that the group, along with other African-American girl groups, record a cover of R&B singer Joi’s song “Freedom” for the Panther movie’s soundtrack album.

In February 2001, Roman and Anderson filed for divorce. Roman and Reggie Youngblood tied the knot in August of 2018.
