Early Life
Rosario Dawson was born in New York City on May 9, 1979. Isabel Celeste, Isabel Celeste’s mother, is of Puerto Rican and Afro-Cuban descent. Her biological father Patrick C. Harris never married Isabel. Rosario’s mother was 16 or 17 years old when she gave birth to her daughter. Rosario’s mother married Greg Dawson, a construction worker when she was just one year old.
After being accepted into an affordable housing scheme, Isabel and Greg moved into a refurbished building at 544 East 13th Street. Later on, the family relocated to Texas.

When The Mandalorian returns for its second season, she will reprise her role as Ahsoka Tano for Disney+’s original series Ahsoka. Her recurring roles in Young Rock and Dopesick will be featured in the Hulu miniseries in 2021.

Rosario Dawson made her debut as Ahsoka Tano on Friday’s episode of “The Mandalorian,” but the excitement around the star was focused less on the Disney+ series and more on accusations of transphobia levied against her.
For the first time since a lawsuit was brought against her last year alleging “anti-trans bigotry,” Dawson gave her thoughts on the matter in an interview published Monday in Vanity Fair.
“My only point here is to express my understanding of what happened and why people were and are concerned. Hearing some of those allegations would make me nervous, too. As we’ve seen in recent months and even just recently, the truth has finally come out. Allegations of prejudice have all been refuted by the original complainant “Dawson said something.
Asked about two more claims of physical altercation, Dawson refused to back down and said that none of the claims were true.
There was no discrimination, in this case, thus the claims were thrown out, she stated. “Since I was a child, I’ve always lived my life in an inclusive and compassionate manner. While producing and directing fiction and nonfiction, I’ve always utilized my platform to channel trans voices in support of the LGBTQA community and to advocate for their rights.
