Dancing Career
Lopez left her parents’ house after just one semester of college to live on her own in Manhattan after they disagreed about her desire to pursue a career in dance and acting. She appeared in regional productions of Jesus Christ Superstar and Oklahoma! soon afterward. It wasn’t long before she was cast as a chorus member for the tour of Broadway’s Golden Musicals throughout Europe for five months.
