Janice Doreen Dickinson is a model, TV host, and entrepreneur who has been active since her birth on February 16, 1955. As a model, Dickinson first gained attention, and it’s arguable that she was the first supermodel.
Career
In addition to being one of the top models of the ’70s and ’80s, she was also judged on four seasons of America’s Next Top Model (2003–2006). It was in 2005 that Dickinson launched her own modeling agency, which she later portrayed in the reality show The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency (2006–2008).
When Dickinson competed on the seventh season of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2007, she came in second place. She co-starred with British fashion model Abbey Clancy in the 2008 reality show Janice & Abbey.
Dickinson first appeared on TV in 2010 on the fourth season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, and again in 2015 on the sixteenth season of Celebrity Big Brother.
Plastic Surgery
Despite having had numerous plastic surgery in the past, the 62-year-old presented a more natural look. The once-supermodel went for a gentler look than we’ve seen from her in years, with her hair falling softly around her face and smoky eyes and deep rose lipstick.
Instead of her customary skintight outfits, Janice opted for a more subdued black coat with pearl accents. Janice has been forthright about her history of plastic surgery, admitting to having a boob job, tummy tuck, neck lift, liposuction, and Botox.
She had over a million dollars in taxes and unpaid cosmetics bills when she filed for bankruptcy in 2013. She had a boob job performed 30 years prior, and two years later she went on Botched to get it fixed, declaring, “I am no stranger to plastic surgery.”

I won’t get any more work done if he’s watching,” she said. She was diagnosed with breast cancer the next year and, after receiving six weeks of radiation therapy, was given the all-clear.
Janice Dickinson said, “I wasn’t for the last nine months prior to the diagnosis feeling the joie de vivre,” indicating that she had been depressed since discovering the lump in her breast and had assumed it was the result of a botched boob operation.
Something wasn’t right with my mental state. When I requested tests from my doctor, she discovered a bulge. I commented that it was probably a botched boobs job.
In the 1970s and 1980s, Janice was a big hit and is considered one of the original supermodels.
She then became a famous judge on reality shows like “America’s Next Top Model,” “Celebrity Big Brother,” and “I’m a Celebrity.” Take me out of here.
Reconstructive Surgical Procedures
Janice Dickinson claimed that she started getting plastic surgery as she got older in order to preserve her youthful appearance. At age 33, she underwent her first plastic surgery procedure.
Dickinson recently discussed the many cosmetic procedures she’s undergone over the years in an interview with ABC News.
She answered, “Brow lift, sure, I’ve had my brow lifted.” “There was a slight droop developing on my face, so they helped me perk it up. Yes, I’ve gotten collagen injections. Injections. It’s designed to smooth out wrinkles in the skin.”

Books
After publishing a memoir about her “crazy days” as a supermodel, Dickinson is now a household name. The book she was featured in, No Lifeguard on Duty: The Accidental Life of the World’s First Supermodel (2002), did a great job of introducing her to a new audience.
Her second memoir, titled Everything About Me Is Fake… And I’m Perfect, was published in 2004 and details her career as a model, her plastic surgery, and her struggles with anorexia, bulimia, and alcoholism.
Her next biography, Check Please! In her 2006 book, Dating, Mating, and Extricating, she describes the men in her life and offers dating advice.”
