Heidi Blair Pratt (née Montag; born September 15, 1986) is an American singer, actress, and reality television star. In 2005, she met Lauren Conrad, who was born and raised in Crested Butte, Colorado. Montag rose to fame in 2006 after being cast in the MTV reality show The Hills, which followed Conrad, Montag, and friends Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port as they navigated their personal and professional lives.
She worked as an event planner for Bolthouse Productions and briefly attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising during its production. Montag began dating Spencer Pratt, a fellow cast member, as the season continued, and her friendship with Conrad came to an end. Their resulting animosity became the show’s main theme, and it lasted through every season.

While attending the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Heidi met Lauren Conrad, who was at the time a star on Laguna Beach. Both women transferred to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California, after one semester at the Colorado school. Heidi made a four-episode appearance on season 2 of MTV’s reality show in 2005 as a result of their friendship.
Because of her difficult relationship with Spencer Pratt, whom she married in November 2008, the singer of “More Is More” became a contentious reality TV personality on The Hills. Heidi is expecting her second child, Gunner, in December 2022.
Heidi’s decision to have 10 plastic surgery surgeries in one day was maybe the most surprising of her life. In 2010, the reality actress traveled from California to Colorado to undergo a number of surgeries, including breast augmentation, a nose job, fat injections in her face, an eyebrow lift, and chin reduction.
The reality star’s makeover was a significant story point on the hit program, and it forever transformed her life. Heidi, on the other hand, stated in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she does not enjoy reliving that period of her life.
She confessed in 2016, “I don’t want to watch it.” “I believe going through that at the time was difficult enough, and I was simply in over my head.” “I didn’t realize what I was getting myself into.”
Though she gained notoriety as a result of her dramatic makeover, she said that it wasn’t an easy procedure and that it put her apart from her co-stars.
“Everyone else on the program is in the clubs and dealing with this and that,” the MTV alum explained. “At that moment, we were emotionally drained and depleted, and all we needed was support and the formation of a team, rather than being cut down by everyone.” It was the most difficult period of my life, and I believe it has made me stronger. And that made me question why I did what I did.”
During a 2019 interview with Cosmopolitan, Heidi opened up more about the challenges of her operations. “I was way too young to make such a life-changing decision,” she said, adding that “negativity and hate on the internet” put her under “pressure.”
