Elliot Page Before and After
Elliot Page has never felt more at home than he does now.
He opened up about his struggle to come to terms with his new gender identity in a new interview, and he recalled the years of isolation he endured before finally breaking free of society’s expectations.
Speaking to Esquire, Page said, “I can’t stress the biggest delight, which is truly seeing myself.”
I know I seem different to others, but to me, I’m just starting to look like myself again. Because I’m simply like, there I am, it’s hard to describe. And thanks to God. Here I am, in this very place. That’s why the greatest satisfaction is simply being able to feel present, in the literal sense of the phrase. I’d like the opportunity “to go out in a group of new people where I didn’t feel this constant feeling to flee from my body, this never-ending sensation of fear and nervousness and wanting out,” he said. With every fibre of my being, I mean it when I say I never envisioned myself feeling that way.”
Page, who was born Elliot page first came out as gay in 2014 and said the reception was far less nasty than when he revealed he was transitioning six years later. In my opinion, transphobia is simply too harsh.” “The anger and the brutality is so much more relentless,” he remarked.
His expectations were met in part: “love and support from many individuals; hatred, brutality, and vitriol from so many others.”
On Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy, Page plays a teen with a baby bump in the role of Ellen Page in the 2007 film Juno alongside Michael Cera.
When Page thinks back on that moment in his life, it brings up memories of how happy he was. As much as the film brought him fame, he admitted that playing a glamorous actress while internally feeling like a man was stressful for his mental health.
As odd as it sounds to people, and as frustrating as it is to me, the fact that Juno was exploding was the worst day of my life,” I said. Now that I’m rich and famous, I’ll have to wear a dress, so there. Honestly, I don’t get why they were so enraged. But he said, “I wish people would understand that that garbage truly did almost kill me.”
It was stated that Page suffered from anorexia and bulimia as well as acute depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. Because of his severe nervousness, he would frequently miss meetings or be unable to complete even a brief script reading.
When I was in my early to mid-twenties, I had no idea how to tell others how sick I felt. My inner critic would be screaming at me if I did it again. As if all my wishes had come true, I was living the life of my fantasies. The only time I was unable to stay in a hotel while filming Inception was because of this rule.

What does Elliot Page say about his transformation?

The page has endured criticism, hostility, and even death threats during his transition, but he has also received reassurance and support from his loved ones, and most importantly, he finally feels like he understands who he is.
“I couldn’t imagine myself as a woman aging,” he said to Esquire in an interview. “Obviously. Wasn’t it like, “What am I going to do now?” There will be no future. For the most part, that’s how I felt about it. I’ve never been a girl, and that’s what I’d say. “I’ll never be a woman,”
