Millionaire dog trainer, author, and TV celebrity Cesar Millan is a Mexican-American. Cesar Millan’s fame stems primarily from his show “Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan.”
Early Life
Cesar Felipe Millan Fevila had a deep bond with animals from the time of his birth on August 27, 1969, in the little town of Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico. When he was young, he used to help his grandfather, a tenant farmer, with farm chores like feeding the animals.
He was called “el Perrero,” or “the dog boy,” because of his early and lasting bond with canines. In order to achieve his meteoric rise to stardom, Millan would sneak across the border from Mexico to California when he was 21 years old.
Cesar Millan’s Net Worth
According to several sources, Cesar Millan has a net worth of around $25 million. Indeed, that is a substantial sum of money for a canine educator. While there may be many dog trainers out there, I can guarantee you the majority have never imagined they could earn anywhere like what you have.
What makes Cesar Millan even more intriguing is the fact that he amassed a fortune in his past but then lost it all due to poor financial decisions. He has recovered all of the money he lost and more, so he will not die impoverished as so many people do. To the tune of $25,000,000, that’s saying a lot.

The career of Cesar Millan
Cesar Millan’s first job in California was at a pet store, where he groomed dogs. He arrived in the state at the age of 21. No one ever questioned Cesar Millan’s wealth back then. He was a part-time limo driver. In the midst of one of his driving routines, he met the famous actress Jada Pinkett Smith, and from there, his life began to improve dramatically. Soon after, he opened up a shop at Pacific Point Dog Academy, specializing in pet grooming.
Jada Pinkett Smith was one of his first customers and she was a huge help in making his dream a reality. She helped him study English, which was crucial to his becoming the well-known figure he is today. A dog psychology center would be his next venture in L.A. This facility was relocated by him to Santa Clarita, California in 2009. A second clinic, in Davie, Florida, was also opened by him.
Millan first gained widespread attention after a profile about him appeared in a 2002 issue of the Los Angeles Times. In 2004, he premiered his TV show “Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan” on National Geographic Channel after the network contacted him shortly after. After its debut, the show quickly rose to the top of the ratings at National Geographic in the United States and remained there for the next nine seasons. Indeed, it was seen by people in more than 80 countries after being transmitted internationally. Cesar Millan’s wealth skyrocketed as a direct result of this. Along with that, it was nominated for Outstanding Reality Program Emmys in 2006 and 2007.
Previously, he has guest-starred on a number of Nat Geo programs, including “Cesar Millan’s Leader of the Pack,” “Cesar 911,” and “Cesar Millan’s Dog Nation.” Further, Cesar Millan’s wealth enabled him to publish a magazine called “Cesar’s Way” in both the United States and Canada in 2009. Over the years, he has also put money into going on international speaking tours, giving seminars on dog grooming, and developing his own line of dog care products. In addition, he was a prolific author with three books included on the New York Times bestseller list.
Personal life
Millan’s marriage to his ex-wife Ilusión Wilson lasted from 1994 until their 2010 divorce. They’ve been blessed with twin sons. After his wife filed for divorce and his dog Daddy passed away, Millan made an unsuccessful suicide attempt in May of 2010. Cesar’s financial situation briefly deteriorated as a result of the divorce settlement.
In August of 2010, Millan started dating actress and former stylist Jahira Dar. In April of 2016, they announced their engagement. In the year 2000, he successfully completed the process to become a citizen of the United States. Millan’s ex-wife, Illusión, started the Cesar Millan Foundation, currently known as the Cesar Millan PACK Project.
The Foundation helps fund animal shelters and groups that save strays. It has previously collaborated with Yale University to develop a pedagogical program for children based on Millan’s research, and it provides funding for spay/neuter programs.
