Colorado Mom Strangles Newborn Daughter to Death
Amy Grace Carr, a 21-year-old Colorado mom, strangled her newborn daughter to death and later buried her in a family’s backyard to prevent her daughter’s body from being discovered.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, they received a call from 911 about a newborn baby unresponsive while buried in a backyard in Yoder. The authorities later arrested the Colorado mom after five months of investigating the murder of young Lily Carr.
The Colorado mom initially denied the crime and claimed she could not remember how she murdered her daughter, but eventually confirmed that she tried to miscarry her several times, Law and Crime reported.

Colorado Mom Receives a 55-Year Sentence for Her Daughter’s Murder
During the investigation, authorities confirmed that Carr sent chilling messages to her boyfriend when she killed their daughter, strengthening the Colorado mom’s sentence.
Carr was sentenced to 48 years in prison for murdering her newborn daughter and 7 years in prison for tampering with a deceased human body. She was also required to spend an additional five years on parole.
The Colorado mom will serve a long time for not giving her child the chance to live.
