The television judge and children’s author had to issue an apology after a recording of his offensive remarks regarding the show’s participants surfaced.

After being caught on camera making “disrespectful statements” about candidates on Britain’s Got Talent, David Walliams has issued an apology.

Lawyers for Walliams and the show’s producer, Thames, reportedly pushed against publishing transcripts from three episodes on the grounds that the comments were not meant for broadcast and should be deemed private by the public, as reported by The Guardian.
According to what Thames told the Guardian Syco, Simon Cowell’s record label, claimed it was unaware of the statements prior to the news breaking but could not confirm or deny if Walliams had heard the alleged remarks and that it had informed him of the show’s “expectations as to future professional conduct.”
