Michael John Myers OC is a Canadian actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer who was born on May 25, 1963. He has received numerous awards for his work, including seven MTV Video Music Awards, one Primetime Emmy Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame honoured him with a star in 2002. The Canadian government honoured him with the rank of Officer of the Order of Canada in 2017 for “his extensive and recognised body of work as an actor, writer, and producer in the comedy genre.”
After making multiple guest appearances on Canadian TV shows, Mike Myers finally broke out with his performance on Saturday Night Live (1989–1995), for which he was nominated and ultimately won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.
Subsequently, he became a household name thanks to his starring appearances in three of the highest-grossing film franchises of all time: Wayne’s World (1992–1993), Austin Powers (1997–2002), and Shrek (2001–2010).

Many of His Followers Have Been Concerned About His Whereabouts
There are two things in common between Wayne’s World (1992), Austin Powers (1997), and Shrek (2001). One similarity is that people find both of them hilarious. Second, they all feature legendary Canadian comedian Mike Myers.
The actor had a tumultuous start to his career in Hollywood, and his seeming withdrawal from the public eye may be attributable to his controversial roles.
It was a comedy routine from Myers’ early days on SNL that landed him the role of Wayne in the film adaptation of his cult classic, Wayne’s World.
Soon after, he was cast in the James Bond parody Austin Powers, starring in four films as the title character.

The celebrity made $10 million with the fourth movie of the Shrek franchise, which saw him get the highest critical accolades. However, after the series finale, viewers saw far less of the Canadian actor.
The year 2000 marked the beginning of his problems, when he agreed to appear in Sprockets, another film inspired by Saturday Night Live.
The actor quit halfway through recording, citing issues with the script. As a result of the bail, Universal Studios filed multiple lawsuits, the largest of which sought $30 million.
Myers and the film’s producers finally settled their issues after years of talks and court hearings, allowing Myers to direct his live-action adaptation of the classic children’s book Cat in the Hat (2013).
But not only did the film tank at the box office, but it also received harsh reviews for including inappropriately vulgar humour in a film aimed at children. Even Dr Seuss’s wife sprang into action to prevent any more live-action adaptations of her husband’s work.
Former co-stars and filmmakers frequently spoke about his behaviour on the set, despite the fact that his million-dollar litigation and obscene comedy were sufficient to push the number of opportunities he was getting down the drain (he disclosed in a 2014 interview that he only received 15 film offers since 1991).
Beginning of Profession
Myers started appearing in advertisements when he was only two years old. When he was just 10 years old, he starred in a commercial for British Columbia Hydro, in which Gilda Radner played the role of his mother.
When he was only 12 years old, he had a recurring role on King of Kensington as the character Ari. He made his acting debut at 16 in the pilot episode of The Littlest Hobo called “Boy on Wheels.”
Myers joined the touring company of the Canadian comedy troupe The Second City after he graduated from high school. He uprooted to the United Kingdom and, in 1985, joined the improv troupe The Comedy Store Players, named for the London venue where they performed.

The following year, he and Neil Mullarkey participated in a spoof of the British kids’ TV show Wide Awake Club called “Sound Asleep Club,” which poked fun at the show’s usual high energy.
In 1986, he made a second trip back to Toronto and The Second City to perform in the company’s flagship stage production there, Second City Theatre.
