Thor: Love and Thunder is a Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures film based on the Marvel Comics character Thor. It’ll be the direct sequel to Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s 29th installment (MCU). Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper star alongside Chris Hemsworth as Thor in the film directed by Taika Waititi, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Thor (Thompson), Korg (Waititi), and Jane Foster (Portman)—who is now the Mighty Thor—attempt to achieve inner peace in the film, but must return to action to stop Gorr the God Butcher (Bale) from annihilating all gods.
By January 2018, Hemsworth and Waititi have talked about doing a Ragnarok sequel. In July 2019, it was revealed that Hemsworth, Waititi, and Thompson, as well as Portman, who did not feature in Ragnarok, would be returning for Love and Thunder. Waititi intended to set Love and Thunder apart from Ragnarok by making a romantic comedy and an action film set in the 1980s.

What is the story about Thor: Love and Thunder?
Marvel Studios provided the following official plot synopsis: Thor (Chris Hemsworth) embarks on a search for inner peace in Thor: Love and Thunder. However, Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), a galactic killer who seeks the destruction of the gods, interrupts his retirement.
“To confront the menace, Thor enlists the aid of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who, to to Thor’s amazement, wields his mystical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.” They embark on a perilous cosmic journey together to unravel the secret of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.”
Thor: Love and Thunder, unsurprisingly, begins up after Avengers: Endgame, with Thor being overweight and teaming up with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Apart from the plot summary and teaser trailer, Marvel is keeping its cards close to its breast when it comes to Thor 4’s overall story. That won’t stop us from guessing how Thor: Love and Thunder will end.
He’s working hard (with some very hefty chain combat ropes) to get back in shape, as we can see in the teaser trailer. In the first act of the film, expect a training montage in the style of the Rocky films.

Who is playing whom in Thor: Love and Thunder?
Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as Thor, as expected. Tessa Thompson returns as Valkyrie, while filmmaker Taika Waititi reprises his role as want tobe revolutionary Korg. According to Reddit, the trailer and film include Hemsworth’s son Tristan as the boy version of the Norse god.
Thor: Love and Thunder will feature the Guardians of the Galaxy, which isn’t entirely surprising. Thor was in the company of Marvel’s most beloved gang of jerks at the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame. So we’ll see Star-Lord, Drax, Nebula, Mantis, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, and Kraglin. A few things were “changed,” according to Guardians director James Gunn, to assist their roles in Thor 4 tie into Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3.

Thor: Ragnarok trailer
After seeing the trailer for the film, moviegoers are buzzing. ‘Hands used to fight, but now they’re just humble peace tools,’ hints to the tone of the picture, which is both an action blockbuster and a love story.
Korg and Jane Foster, as well as Chris Pratt’s Starlord and the Guardians of the Galaxy, make cameo appearances in this film.
Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portmann, is shown clutching Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, in the trailer’s final shot, prompting fans to wonder what role she will play in the universe’s rescue and whether she will eventually take over as Thor.
