Famke Beumer Janssen (Dutch; born c. 1964) is a Dutch actress. She is known for her roles as Xenia Onatopp in GoldenEye (1995), Jean Grey/Phoenix in the X-Men film series (2000-2014), and Lenore Mills in the Taken film trilogy (2008–2014).
U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon made her an “Ambassador of Goodwill for Integrity” in 2008. In 2011, she made her debut as a director with the film Bringing Up Bobby.
The Netflix original series Hemlock Grove (2013-2015), Nip/Tuck (FX, 2003-2010), and How to Get Away with Murder (ABC, 2010-present) are also among her most notable acting credits (2014-2020). Janssen’s breakout role came on NBC’s The Blacklist: Redemption in 2017.

The Blacklist: Redemption, a crime thriller on NBC and a spin-off of the network’s original series The Blacklist starred Famke Janssen and was picked up for a full season in May of 2016. She was a member of the Tribeca Film Festival’s 2019 judging panel.
Together with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Janssen starred in the 2020 film The Postcard Killings. During the year 2021, Janssen will be seen in two films: the Christian drama Redeeming Love and the upcoming action flick Dangerous.
She talked about her role in the live-action adaptation of the iconic anime and manga Saint Seiya in an interview with Forbes in March of 2021. Janssen said that last year’s filming was planned to take place in Europe, but that the production was pushed back twice because of the Coronavirus outbreak. She also alluded to the fact that she will play a major role, albeit she didn’t reveal which one.
