In an interview on The View, Sunny Hostin said that Nimrata Nikki Randhawa, the full form of Nikki Haley’s given name, was an attempt to hide her Indian heritage (Haley is her marital name). In response, Haley called Hostin a “racist” and brought up the fact that Hostin had changed her name.
Show host Alyssa Farah Griffin reportedly pushed Republicans to reject Trump in favor of prominent conservatives including Haley and Representative Liz Cheney. To paraphrase Hostin: “Nikki Haley the chameleon and Liz Cheney the savior.” “Can you tell me her whole name?” But even when Griffin stepped in to defend Haley, she and Griffin continued to fight.
It’s Been Noted by Griffin
“A lot of people don’t go by their genuine real names.” Hostin maintained her attack on the ex-governor by telling Haley she should be proud to be a woman of color.
Sara Haines, the show’s co-host, stepped in at that point to redirect the discussion back to the field of potential Republican presidential candidates.
