Money Heist (Spanish: La Casa de Papel, [la Kasa de papel], “The House of Paper”) is a Spanish heist crime drama TV series developed by Lex Pina. The series follows two long-planned heists, one on the Royal Mint of Spain and the other on the Bank of Spain, as told through the eyes of one of the criminals, Tokyo (Ursula Corberó). For intricacy, the story is delivered in real-time, with flashbacks, time jumps, hidden character motivations, and an unreliable narrator.
The series was originally planned to be a two-part limited series. It aired on the Spanish network Antena 3 for 15 episodes from May 2 to November 23, 2017. In late 2017, Netflix obtained global streaming rights. It re-cut the series into 22 shorter episodes and published them all over the world, starting with the first part on December 20, 2017, and the second part on April 6, 2018. The series was renewed by Netflix in April 2018 with a slightly enhanced budget for a total of 16 new episodes. Part 3, which consists of eight episodes, was released on July 19, 2019. Part 4 was launched on April 3rd, 2020, with eight episodes as well.

Sonia Martnez, Jess Colmenar, Esther Martnez Lobato, and Nacho Manubens are executive producers on Money Heist. BH Entertainment and Contents Zium are also preparing a 12-episode Korean adaptation of the blockbuster series for Netflix.
Yoo Ji-Tae will play The Professor, Jun Jung-Seo will play Tokyo, and Park Hae-Soo from Squid Game will play Berlin in the South Korean version.

The Professor Leads a Group of Thieves in A Money Heist.
Money Heist revolves around a bunch of criminals commanded by The Professor, who dons a Salvador Dali mask and a red jumpsuit while assuming the names of several cities to hide their true identity. The gang has been imprisoned at the Bank of Spain for nearly 100 hours in Season 5. They’ve rescued Lisbon, but now they’re facing their darkest hour after losing one of their own.
Sierra has kidnapped the Professor, and for the first time, he doesn’t have an escape plan. When it appears that nothing more could possibly go wrong, they are confronted by a foe far more strong than any they have yet encountered: the army. The greatest theft in history is nearing its conclusion, and what began as a robbery will soon turn into a battle.

Last year, Money Heist (La Casa de Papel in Spanish) came to an end after a five-season run. The series, which featured a criminal mastermind known as The Professor and his gang of professional thieves as
they attempted an intricate heist on Spain’s Royal Mint, was a huge hit for Netflix worldwide. According to the brief trailer for the Korean remake, this new rendition of Money Heist will follow a similar narrative. The teaser replaces the Salvador Dali mask from Money Heist with a traditional Korean Hahoetal mask, and the voice-over establishes the tone: “A thief who steals little cash is either killed or imprisoned after being hunted. A thief who steals in large quantities, on the other hand, can change the world and even become a hero. We’ll pull off the biggest robbery yet out of all the money heists.”
