Green Bay, WI – Snow is set to move into central Wisconsin tonight, bringing hazardous travel conditions and freezing temperatures into Monday morning. Accumulations are expected to range from 2 to 4 inches in most areas, with Door County likely to see totals up to 5 inches.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Green Bay, snowfall will begin after 2 a.m. and continue through Sunday morning, tapering off by the afternoon. The heaviest snow is expected before 11 a.m., with wind gusts up to 21 mph. Roads, including Highways 41 and 43, are anticipated to become snow-covered and slippery, impacting morning commutes. Drivers are advised to reduce speeds and allow extra time for travel.
As the snow clears, temperatures will drop sharply Monday, with a high near 10°F and wind chills as low as -15°F. Winds up to 28 mph will make conditions feel even colder. Looking ahead, the region will remain bitterly cold through midweek, with highs barely reaching the teens and lows plunging to single digits.
Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be mostly clear, but wind chills may fall below zero during the night. By Thursday, temperatures will rise slightly, with a high near 22°F.
Residents are urged to monitor road conditions and check for weather updates. Stay prepared with warm clothing and emergency supplies if traveling tonight or early Monday.
