Hastings, NE – A week of cold, blustery weather is on the horizon for Hastings, with temperatures dipping into single digits overnight. Winds are expected to gust up to 30 mph today, creating biting wind chills that could feel as low as -4°F.

According to the National Weather Service, Sunday’s high will peak near 27°F before dropping to just 6°F tonight. Residents should dress warmly and limit time outdoors to avoid exposure. Gusty winds from the northwest will add to the chill, making it feel significantly colder.

Monday promises sunnier skies, but temperatures will struggle to reach 29°F, with wind chills remaining in the negative range during early morning hours. Winds will calm slightly by evening, shifting from the northwest to the south at 5 to 10 mph. Overnight temperatures will plunge again, with a low of 12°F expected.

Tuesday will bring a slight reprieve, with highs climbing to 31°F under sunny skies. However, temperatures will remain below freezing, and travelers should stay alert for icy patches on roads, especially during the morning commute.

Looking ahead, Wednesday and Thursday will see gradual warming, with highs reaching 42°F and 47°F respectively. Despite the warmer days, cold overnight lows will persist, ranging from 12°F to 25°F.
