Nashville, TN – Drivers and residents should prepare for patchy freezing fog tonight as temperatures dip to 20°F in the Nashville area. The National Weather Service forecasts reduced visibility along roadways, including I-40, between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., posing potential hazards for evening travel.
According to the National Weather Service, tonight’s freezing fog may leave slick spots on bridges and overpasses. Residents are urged to use caution when driving and to allow extra time for evening commutes. Winds will remain calm, providing little relief from the chill.
Sunday promises a sunnier outlook, with highs reaching 41°F and light winds from the south at 5 to 10 mph. Increasing cloud cover Sunday night will bring a chance of flurries and lows near 29°F.
Looking ahead, Monday will see a mix of sun and clouds, with a high near 36°F and light winds. Temperatures are expected to drop drastically Monday night, reaching a frigid 16°F under mostly clear skies.
The week will start cold on Tuesday, with highs only reaching 33°F. While sunny skies will dominate, frost and icy conditions are likely in the mornings. Another chance of light snow flurries returns Tuesday night as temperatures plummet to 13°F.
With clear skies and calm conditions midweek, Nashville residents should bundle up and prepare for sub-freezing lows through Thursday.
